Vintage Metal Pill Box w/Beads and Stones Hand Painted Snuff Trinket Ornate Box

What a lovely little piece this is! It has the prettiest handpainted and carved stone or glass in the center. All around it are turquoise colored stones/glass. I have looked closely under a loupe and believe these to be natural materials but I am not sure which it is.
This intricate little box may have been used as a pill box, snuff box or trinket box. It has a hinged top that is quite tight. The box itself has a thick gold covering
