Vintage Salt Cellar Set. F.B. Rogers Silver Co. Silver Plate, Colbalt Blue Glass Inserts. Original Box.
A beautiful vintage set of 4 salt cellars and two spoons by F.B. Rogers Silver Company. Each of the bowls are silver plated with a cobalt blue glass liner. The two spoons are also silver plated. One glass liner from the set is missing, unfortunately. The set has it's own case which shows some wear and tear (see photos). Each cellar is approximately 1 1/2 inches high and 2 1/4 inches wide. Each spoon is approximately 2 1/4 inches long. The bowls are quite heavy and will last a long time. If they were ever used, it was minimally. The cobalt glass liners have no cracks or chips.
F.B. Rogers Silver Co. was a silver-smithing firm in Massachusetts from 1883 - 1955, when it was absorbed into the National Silver Company. My research puts these beautiful salt cellars being produced sometime during the 1940's.
