Vintage Arcade mfg. Co. Imperial coffee grinder.

Description

The grinder has an ornate cast iron top and a cast iron grinding mechanism with advertising raised letters. The crank works well. The top iron shows age wear, dirt, slight rust in the crevices which are age appropriate. The wood encasement shows age. The drawer has a larger seam between drawer sides, more on right side. The inside drawer is dirty due to age, use. Splitsin the wood, vertical. Another lighter, one or more on bottom, counting that someone threw from top also. The bottom has a few rough wood lines that are the start of splits. There is a separation on left side of drawer. The backside of drawer looks low, like I thought a top piece may have broken off but there is a shine on top like other three sides so I don't think it was broken off. The backside has a circular notch in wood like maybe a handle was once placed there. The front of the drawer has a knob with little straight lines around it; see pics. Somebody years ago may have flip flopped drawer sides and put the knob on what was once the backside. There is one side of the grider sides that shows more wear; some of the wood is spotty in places. See pics. The bottom shows age, wear and nicks. The grinder has a few issues but the issues add to its history and charm as this could be at least from the early 20th century. It's in as found condition. I altered nothing to keep the integrity alive. Measures 9" X 7" X 6.5".
