    Description

    Vintage Buescher Alto Saxophone:
    Serial # 481xxx
This vintage is very soon after Selmer bought Buescher.
Many of these horns were constructed from original Buescher parts, and the bell on this horn looks like it could have been used on an original Aristocrat.  Also, see the key-guard design on the left-side bell keys.
This early period produced some very good quality horns, before the general decline in quality.
This horn has been loved. It has nice pads with dome metal resonators. Pads are not quite new but don't have many miles on them. The horn is playing well.
This looks very good overall. Original finish has some wear and surface scratches, and the body has a few small dings; there are though some good size dents on the bow (see photos).  Also, there are some small spots of solder repair on the key-guard on the bell.
The neck is in very good condition. There is a small amount of pull-down, but it is not very noticeable.
Replacement case functions well, but is in only fair cosmetic shape.
