This is a vintage Bb Low Pitch Baritone Sax from a local estate. We are not experts, but the chart on the internet states serial number “M180xxx” is a 1926 Conn “NEW WONDER CHU BERRY” saxophone with rolled tone holes. Like most of the baritones we’ve seen, it looks to be in well worn condition like it’s been “thru the War” (see images). It has not been used recently, and it shows overall wear, dents, dings, solder repairs to re-lacquered finish (see images). The neck has a cracked solder repair which we assume will need to be repaired or replaced. Case is in rough worn condition (see image). The owner tried to demonstrate it, and while it did play from top to bottom Bb it had a lot of difficulty moving from upper to lower octaves. We do not know exactly what it will need to be put into top playing condition. It is being sold in exactly as-found estate condition, and will likely need complete overhaul prior to use so being sold strictly As-Is / As-Found for restoration, parts, or display. Please ask any questions before bidding. Shipping cost based on size and actual destination location.
