Selmer super balanced action (SBA) tenor saxophone.#47*** (1951)UnLacquered,Owned by a professional for decades (MY recording  studio horn for many years) Only a few hours on a 2019 complete overhaul, before I retired.  Action is tight, responsive and ready for professional level playing.
Only dimple is on the SBA neck and does not affect intonation(see photo) None on horn  . All SBA's are good--THIS ONE IS GREAT!
The  history learned from the second owner(who I purchased it from) is as follows::  This horn and neck was professionally  picked out from several dozen SBA's in a major NYC music store in 1951.or 1952 by the original owner, who was a NY.NY professional musician.  HE CHOSE THIS HORN BECAUSE IT HAD (HAS) AN..EXCEPTION SBA TONE compared to other SBA's he tried.. i have to say,I know he was right!!! Just before my retirement, i had a complete overhaul done by a master horn tech.  Along with Selmer pads, springs and corks, the key heights and resonators and regulation were done  perfectly.. Rods and posts are tight and have no play, all of which makes the action and intonation great!   This horn comes with two necks--SBA neck and a custom neck that ( coupled with a metal mouthpiece) , gives the horn a bright edge. Comes with a brand new leather bound hard case.
Make no mistake about it---this horn is a once in a lifetime investment in your playing career--(as it was for me).  In my long experienced opinion this is one of the best horns ever made by selmer. Nothing--nothing sounds like these.  you will not be disappointed.
