Very Rare 1960 “The Devil’s Horn” Holton Super Collegiate 666 Alto Saxophone with Original Case
Serial # 336252
The saxophone is in good condition for its age with minor dings and lacquer wear. This horn was well used and well loved. This horn is in need of some TLC
In Original Condition. No major dents or damage to the body
So it is said, 666 is the 'number of the beast'. This leads to the horn's rather sinister nickname - "The Devil's Horn"
Part of the horn's uniqueness is the two tone color - the body is made from a very high copper content alloy and nickel or chrome plated bell and keys
(nickel plated). It may be the first and only saxophone ever offered in that configuration
The pads are older but the horn is still in playing condition. May need new pads. All springs seem to be in proper working order.
Would suggest getting it checked by a sax technician
