Orig. 1951 Boeing B-47B Stratofortress Training Manuals Id'd to Chief Engineer
We are excited to offer this important piece of Military and Aviation history from the Estate of Chester 'Chet' Zielke. Chet's career began at Stearman aircraft and later Boeing in the late 1930's where he became one of primary engineers on the B-29 before entering WW2. Following the war Chester worked as one of the Chief Engineers on both the B-47 and B-52 development programs.
This incredibly early and important, matched issue manual set was issued ca. 1951 to Chief Boeing Engineer Chet Zielke. Both the primary manual and supplemental manual are marked as only the 6th training manual issued for the program. Both manuals are complete with original binding and Boeing issued Front and Rear covers, with the primary manual measuring 2 3/4" thick, and the supplemental manual measuring 1 1/4" thick for a combined thickness of 4 inches. Condition is excellent with no damage or issues to note.
