OLD 1926 NO. 1A POCKET KODAK FOLDING CAMERA W/ ORIGINAL BOX

This camera is the No 1A Pocket Kodak Folding Autographic Camera, made with a strong aluminum body and covered with a durable material.  These cameras, this one with a patent date of 1921, were made starting in 1926 through 1932.  With the autographic feature, it actually allowed the user to write on the film as the picture was taken.  The stylus is missing in most folding Kodaks, as is this one.
This camera takes pictures on 116 size film, and originally sold for .00 back then, in 1926.  That would translate to 0.00 today.
It was a high quality amateur camera for the time.  This 1A model has one viewfinder with a 90 degree turnable lever.
This camera features the Meniscus lens and a
Kodex
shutter with two speeds, 1/25, 1/50/, B, &T.  The camera was easy to use because of its easy erecting shelf and bed, also as they were light and small and would fit into the jacket pocket.
This camera is in very good condition for its age, with little patina, as shown in my many pictures.  The nickel finish around the lens and the lettering is very good, as shown.  The leather covering is good, tight, and brilliant, as shown.
Mechanically, the camera is good.  The shutter works at all speeds.  The red lens is good, the bellows are nice and soft, with absolutely no pin holes and the carry handle is good.  The film winder has a bright shiny finish. The brilliant viewfinder is very good.
The bed opens and closes easily and also the lens slides in and out easily.  The lenses are all reasonably clean, inside and out.
Original patents were granted in 1913, 1914, 1916 and 1921. The camera is a larger one, measuring 8" long when folded up.  For being 96 years old, this camera's condition is not expected.
This camera comes with its original box.  It is labeled "No. 1A Pocket Kodak", on the end.  The outside liner is
slightly
worn with split edges about 2 inches from the end.  The inside liner is perfect, with no broken edges.
