Millers Falls # 5 Cabinetmaker Drill Excellent Operating & Cosmetic ConditionThis Miller Falls # 5 cabinet makers drill was a staple of woodworker shops before the widespread use of power tools.
I do not think that this drill was heavily used and appears to have been well cared for over its 70+ year life.
This drill is in excellent cosmetic and operating condition and is a great looking drill. It works perfectly with no excessive play in the drive gears and is as smooth as glass when operated. The gear teeth are solid and not chipped or broken. The chuck is in near new condition working perfectly.
The Miller Falls #5 has an wider outside drive gear surface that allows you to easily turn the chuck slowly and carefully by hand when working with smaller bits.
The wooden handle is in great shape, solid and in very good original condition. There are some signs of wear but still solid with no cracks or other
damage (see pictures) The bezel on the main handle is in great shape and the handle is solid with no play or looseness. The decal is a replacement of the original.
The end cap unscrews to provide storage for the two drill bits included. The end cap is in great condition with no serious signs of wear or any cracks.
(see pictures) Side handle is not in place.(see pictures)
The drill bits shown appear to be original Miller Falls bits and they are both 9/64".
(see picture)
