  • Condition: Wind is locked up, Rangefinder/viewfinder dirty and shows corrosion, not sure it can be cleaned. Lens is decent with at least one place that has a fungus as shown. Camera top of winder shows scratches where it was taken apart, screw missing on one side. AS IS, ask questions before buying if needed.

    Description

    Early Kodak Retina IIa with the Xenon f/2 lens.  This camera has many issues.  Here is what I have noticed, this will not be a complete list but give you an idea.  The top cover is missing a screw as shown.  The screw inside the film advance is worn or scratched up.  The inside of the rangefinder is all corroded and not viewable.  I'm not sure if any of that can be salvaged.  It is way out of adjustment too.  There is a double image but the patch is not all there.
    The lens has at least one wisp of fungus as shown.  The film advance is locked up.  The inside of the camera shows corrosion and the bellows show age cracking as shown.  I did not test them to see if they are light tight, but they are old and the age shows.
    There are many good parts on this camera and someone who is good can either use the lens as a donor for a modern digital project, or this could be repaired.
    I have used these and love the pocket size, but this one is too far gone for me to do anything with.
