    Description

    Wonderful antique silverplate loving cup trophy from 1916 awarded to the winner of Northeast High School Track.
    This quadruple plated silver loving cup was made by the Poole Silver Company of Taunton, Mass. in 1916. Its graceful design has an Art Nouveau look to it, with sweeping curved handles on each side, and a full round bowl that tapers down to a delicate stem. The front is engraved "TRACK TROPHY - NORTHEAST HIGH SCHOOL - NORTHEAST DISTRICT - WON BY - 1916". The underside has the original metal disc inscribed "GUARANTEED - POOLE SILVER CO. - TAUNTON, MASS. - QUADRUPLE PLATE - 1783".
    It measures 8" tall by 7" wide by 4.5" deep, and weighs almost 1 lb.
