    Description

1950s South American Women's Cow Hide Belt with an usual Wagon Wheel Belt Buckle, The belt is decorated with 28 Argentinian coins with portraits of Jose de San Martín.
Jose de San Martin was an Argentine soldier, statesman, and national hero, who helped lead the revolutions against Spanish rule in Argentina. The 28 coins are sewn onto the belt so I cannot see their denomination. This belt has three pieces. The belt buckle is attached to both side pieces with chains & 3 buttons.
The middle piece was sewn onto the side pieces, but the threads have come loose.
    It could be resewn.
Note the cracks and shrinkage of the leather edging.
The belt measures 4 inches at the widest part & 38 inches in length, not including the belt loop, so probably will fit a 29 to 35 inch waist.
Please look at my photographs for condition and, if you have any questions, please ask.
    Thanks!
