    Description

For sale is one of a personal collection of 27 handmade instrument consoles.  These consoles are of various Warbirds from several countries spanning from 1938 to 1967.  These are truly a unique and rare find for collectors and aircraft enthusiasts.  Each console is made from a polycarbonate enclosure painted matte black, achieving a worn look and with a rear removable panel, and felt pads on the base. Rear pictures are shown without the rear panel attached, so you can see the actual instruments. The instruments are actual instruments generally 2-3 inches in diameter (not reproductions) that would have been fitted to that aircraft model.  The instruments are back fitted and inset to the console, mounted with brass screws and each console has a clear plastic covered label mounted to wood backing noting the model and year of the aircraft and is affixed with brass pins.  Many of the instruments used are extremely rare and hard to come across these days, so these are truly collector's items.  The measurements are generally 10 inches by 6 inches by 6 inches unless otherwise noted.  I have researched each aircraft's cockpit extensively and to the best of my knowledge these instruments were fitted to these exact aircraft at one time or another throughout their service.
