    Description

This Martin Handcraft Committee “Searchlight” model tenor saxophone was made in about 1936 according to its serial number (#116XXX) and it’s in very good condition. It’s been relaquered at some point, but the job was done well and the lacquer is holding up nicely, with only a few very minor scuffs and scratches that are hard to see from more than a foot or two away. This horn has no dents and we see no sign of any previous significant damage or repair. All the keys move freely and although the pads aren’t new they look good, and it looks like it will be quite a while before this sax would need to be repadded. We have run this sax through our professional woodwind repair department to put it in best possible playing condition.
The sturdy wood case shows signs of minor expected wear but is generally in good structural condition with no serious damage. It has some black tape around some of the edge where the trim has come off, but we see no real issues beyond that. The interior looks very good and shows only minor wear.
All in all this is a very nice example of a classic Martin Handcraft Committee tenor sax. We don’t expect it to last long, so grab it while you can!
    All reasonable offers considered.
