    Description

    Offered is a lovely diminutive
    silver plate Desk size Postage Scale
    made and dated 1898 by Wilcox Silver Plate Co
    Patent dates are 1893 and 1898
    It is 3.5" long and tall
    The plate is 2 7/8" across and has a beaded edge the center is Script Monogrammed " E D "
    The back hand circle is also script engraved 1898
    The from has a 10 ounce scale  dial and a 1 ounce measure seems to be fairly accurate
    and there is a screw adjustment on back but of course this is mostly decorative
    Sits on ball feet and has trim top and bottom and was mostly likely part of a ladies or executive desk set
    There is a lot of tarnish and there may be silver loss, did not polish this in case there is loss as age would suggest
    selling as is so look at the photos and buy it as a rare decorative item, not as a good piece of silver!!!
