    This coin has amazing near-uncirculated details. The problem is the cleaning. In fact the 1869 dollar usually has proof like surfaces, and so one might think that the cleaning — giving a sort of polished look — is worse than it is. At one time I thought this was a polished coin but now I realize the proof like surface is typical for the year. Overall this is a really great find of a super rate coin.
